It's our 30th Anniversary and to celebrate we invite you to experience the Stardust Venetian Masquerade Online Gala. Help us to continue to support children and youth in Halton.
Dear Valued Supporter, The Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton is carefully monitoring the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) public health risk for any new developments and is committed to ensuring that we keep our community, staff and volunteers safe. Our commitment and responsibility to supporting the children and youth of Halton remains unchanged during this time of uncertainty. In light of the recent turn of events concerning COVID-19 which has led the Ontario government to declare a state of public health emergency, we have decided to take a proactive approach to protect those we serve and transform the Stardust Venetian Masquerade Ball into an online event. The intention behind this considered approach is to help prevent the spread of the virus and to ensure the utmost safety of all our supporters, volunteers and staff. We humbly ask for your understanding in these trying times. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the CAFH and the Stardust Gala is our most significant fundraiser. The donations collected support the vital work of the Halton Children’s Aid Society — post-secondary bursaries, FUTURES and the Bridging the Gap program to assist homeless youth in our community. As part of our new, online event, you can look forward to fantastic auction items, special surprises and stories from the youth and workers who rely so much on your support. Thank you to all who have taken part in the preparations for the Stardust Venetian Masquerade Ball and those individuals and businesses who have expressed their ongoing commitment and support for our endeavours. Your donated items received to date will be used for our online auction. We are excited to share with you our vision for the renewed online Stardust Gala and we will continue to provide updates to you as our plans take shape. For more information on COVID-19, we encourage you to stay informed by regularly visiting the Halton Region Public Health website at www.halton.ca/coronavirus.
