Seasonal Gifts

Thank you for thinking of families and children in need this Holiday Season.   At the Halton Children’s Aid Society we assist children and youth who have experienced abuse, neglect or family trauma.  Often their families have limited resources or are challenged in other ways and they are unable to provide gifts, food or other basic needs for their children over the Winter season.

Our goal is to enhance the quality of the Holiday Season by providing necessities and gifts to the children, youth and families we serve in the Halton Community.

Listed below (in order of greatest need) are ways you may choose to provide support.  Please review the list and let us know your preference and know that whatever method of support you choose, it is greatly appreciated!

Financial Donations made to the Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton

Funds received during the Holidays are used to provide children and youth in the care of Halton CAS with traditional celebrations that include gift exchanges.  We also ensure that families in the community have the basic necessitates for the season, such as food and winter clothing.  Financial donations received year round also provide life changing educational and recreational opportunities for all children and youth in care.

Gift Cards for Grocery and Big Box Stores

Families are provided with gift cards to purchase necessities and gifts for the Holidays 

Gift Cards for Teens 

Music Stores, Clothing Stores, Restaurants, Sporting Goods and Movie Passes (70 % of the children in care are over the age of 13 years) 

New Winter Clothing

Coats, hats, mittens, gloves, boots  (all ages) 

New, Unwrapped Toys  (all ages) 

Sponsoring a Family

This program ensures that those families not receiving assistance from other community resources are able to celebrate the season.
