Fundraising
Significant Fundraising acitivies of the past year included:
- The Stardust Gala at Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton, Ontario raised over $93,000*
- TigerTel Oakville Charity Dragon Boat Festival raised $50,000, over $15,000 for the CAFH *
- Beverly Golf & Country Club ProAm raised $70,000, over $35,000 for the CAFH*
- Magnes Charity Golf Classic raised $50,000, over $6,500 for the CAFH*
- Chuckles for Charity raised $65,000, over $16,200 for the CAFH*

Children and Youth Participation in 2010 - 2011
- Summer camp – 146 children attended the specialized summer camp staffed by Halton CAS in partnership with the YMCA of Oakville and the Town of Halton Hills. Many more children attended free or subsidized summer camp programs through partnerships in the community geared to fit each child’s needs; Speak & Ride camp, Tall Ship Adventures and the YMCAs of Toronto and Burlington were key supporters.
- Seasonal Gifts – All children in care (200+) received gifts of hampers, warm clothes and food vouchers (over 500+ packages distributed) during the Holiday season. Children in care along with thier foster siblings (160) attended Seasonal celebrations including Thanksgiving, Christmas and the annual tradition of entering a team at the Dragon Boat festival.
- Kumon – 110 individual children enrolled in the math and reading enhancement program.
- Placement & Receiving Homes – the Foundation owns and maintains three group homes that were occupied year round by a total of 37 young adults.
- Youth In Care – are supported by the Foundation in the following ways:
- Connecting Youth to Their Community – 54 youth participated in this program which addresses life skills; crisis support; preparation for living independently; employment and education pursuits.
- Life Start Kits – 13 Youth in Care received kits
- Bursaries – 32 young adults received bursaries to attend post secondary education.
