The Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton (CAFH) was founded in 1990 as a non-profit, charitable organization to raise funds for the children being cared for by the Halton Children's Aid Society (HCAS). Funds raised allow the HCAS to provide children with additional services that enhance the lives of abused and neglected children living in Halton.
The HCAS receives basic funding from the provincial and regional governments to provide food and shelter to the children in its care. In Halton, approximately 1,200 protection cases result in an average of 240 children being in care at any one time.

The facts:
Why we exist:
The Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton funds life changing programs for children who are receiving services from the Halton Children’s Aid Society. These children have experienced abuse, neglect or family trauma and are dealing with emotional challenges that no child should have to face.
The Foundation believes that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and abuse.
By providing opportunities for children to attend a variety of nurturing and motivating programs, leading to bursaries for post secondary education, the Foundation is offering the tools for children in need to overcome their challenges, realize their dreams and become successful members of this community.
Your support not only ensures the continuation of these programs, it brings hope to children and youth for a bright and happy future.
